Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: July 9, 2026

This policy protects users, rights holders, Shotro, and the public. It applies to all use of Shotro’s website, AI creative tools, APIs, projects, collaborations, inputs, and outputs. It forms part of the Terms of Use.

1. Core Responsibility

You must be at least 18 to use Shotro. You are responsible for your instructions, uploaded materials, generated outputs, publication choices, collaborators, and downstream use. Use reasonable human review before relying on or distributing AI output, especially where people could mistake it for authentic media.

2. Child Safety and Sexual Content

You may not use Shotro to create, upload, transform, request, possess, or distribute child sexual abuse material; sexualize or exploit any person under 18 or a person presented as under 18; facilitate grooming, trafficking, or sexual extortion; create non-consensual intimate imagery; or generate explicit sexual content involving a real person without documented consent. Apparent violations may be preserved and reported to appropriate authorities or child-safety organizations as required by law.

3. Harm, Crime, and Abuse

You may not use the Service to facilitate or meaningfully enable violence, terrorism, self-harm, illegal weapons, trafficking, exploitation, unlawful surveillance, stalking, targeted harassment, threats, doxxing, fraud, scams, money laundering, evasion of legal controls, or instructions whose primary purpose is committing serious wrongdoing.

4. Deception, Impersonation, and Synthetic Media

Do not impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent affiliation, manufacture evidence, manipulate civic participation, or create deceptive media intended to defraud, harass, defame, or materially mislead. You must obtain all necessary permission before using a person’s name, face, voice, likeness, performance, or other identifying characteristic.

When an AI-generated or manipulated image, audio, or video could reasonably be mistaken for authentic content, disclose its synthetic or manipulated nature clearly and prominently to viewers. Preserve any provenance markers or disclosures Shotro provides. Do not remove them to deceive. These expectations apply ahead of and alongside any transparency duties imposed by the EU AI Act or other law.

5. Intellectual Property and Privacy

Do not upload or use content unless you have the rights and permissions needed for Shotro and its service providers to process it. You may not infringe copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity, privacy, contractual, or other rights; disclose confidential information without authority; evade rights-management measures; or solicit outputs designed to substitute for protected works unlawfully.

6. Security and Platform Integrity

You may not distribute malware or malicious code; phish or obtain credentials; probe or compromise systems without written authorization; disrupt the Service; bypass safeguards, rate limits, access controls, moderation, payment systems, or usage metering; scrape or harvest data unlawfully; use unauthorized automation; resell access; share credentials outside permitted team features; or use the Service to train or benchmark a competing model where the Terms prohibit it.

7. High-Impact and Regulated Uses

Do not use Shotro output as the sole basis for decisions about a person’s employment, housing, credit, insurance, education admission, legal rights, access to essential services, medical treatment, or similar high-impact matters. Shotro is not a medical, legal, financial, or emergency service. You are responsible for licenses, professional oversight, disclosures, and compliance required for any regulated use.

8. Enforcement

We may use proportionate automated and human measures to detect abuse, investigate reports, restrict generations or sharing, remove or preserve content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, and report conduct when required or appropriate under law and our Terms. Urgent or severe harm may result in immediate action; otherwise, we may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal when reasonably practicable.

To report a violation, contact support@shotro.ai. For intellectual-property notices, use legal@shotro.ai and follow the notice procedure in the Terms. Include enough detail to locate and evaluate the material, but do not email illegal content.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service, risks, and law evolve. Material changes will be communicated as required. If a product-specific safety rule conflicts with this policy, the more protective rule applies unless law requires otherwise.
